The 21^st Neuro-DoWo (Neurobiologischer Doktoranden-Workshop) will be held in Bielefeld on the 29^th and 30^th of July 2010. In 1990 the Neuro-DoWo was founded by Prof. Menzel, Prof. Pflüger, and Prof. Erber. Since then, it provides young PhD students with an annual forum in which to get together, establish contacts, and discuss their projects in a scientific atmosphere. The DoWo takes place at a different location every year and is organised and conducted by PhD students of the respective host-university, without any help or interference by professors or postdocs. Two renowned scientists are always invited to give a guest-talk, while the remaining scientific program is delivered exclusively by PhD students. During its 20-year long history the Neuro-DoWo became more and more international with guest students from all over Europe.

The DoWo offers PhD students the chance to practice the presentation of their work at a scientific conference by means of talks, posters, and discussions.
